LEMAYMICHAUD, is a team of a hundred architecture and design professionals, working in three different offices (Quebec, Montreal, Ottawa) and united by the common passion of building and giving life to projects of excellence by creating universes where architecture and design coexist and interact to leave a strong impression and to touch people.

For over 40 years, we have been working in a collective and collaborative spirit, with colleagues and for clients that think differently and seek to think outside the box, on large-scale projects (in the institutional, industrial, health care, commercial and hospitality industries) that sometimes lead to awards, namely from Achitizer A+ Awards and Grands Prix du Design, that we happily accept.

Opened positions:

To better serve existing customers but also to explore new opportunities offered outside the province of Quebec, LEMAYMICHAUD opened an office in the National Capital Region in July 2018. Since October 2019, LEMAYMICHAUD is established in the heart of downtown Ottawa in a dynamic environment located at 350 meters from the Parliament Hill. The office is now looking for a Senior Architect who, in addition to participating in projects, will also oversee the office management and in collaboration with the senior partners, ensure its growth.

Responsibilities pertaining to architecture and office management include:

  • Oversee office management and operations
  • Lead the team, establish priorities, ensure that each project has the required resources to meet the time schedule of the deliverables and the fee budget
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and various stakeholders
  • Participate in projects and concept development
  • Develop relations with current and potential clients
  • Supervise and/or Prepare construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Participation in budget preparation, feasibility studies and quality control supervision
  • Participation in building code studies and by-laws analysis
  • Participation to site visits and contract administration at construction phase and,
  • Perform all other related tasks

Responsibilities related to the business development include:

  • Identify growth opportunities with current and potential clients
  • Be aware of public call to tenders in public market
  • Prepare offer of services (writing and formatting)

What it takes

  • University degree in architecture (B. Arch or M. Arch) with a minimum of 10-15 years professional experience in architecture and team management
  • Be a member in good standing of the OAA or OAQ
  • Knowledge of basic software: Revit, Autocad, Sketchup, Suite Adobe, Word et Excel
  • Knowledge of rendering software: Enscape, Lumion, V-ray or other relevant software
  • Good knowledge of applicable codes and by-laws in force
  • Aptitude for teamwork, initiative, rigor and autonomy
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, both in French and English
