LemayMichaud was appointed to design the new BSH Home Appliances showroom in Montreal. This project, covering more than 5,000 square feet, gave the designers the opportunity to design several high-end kitchen spaces, each faithful to the brand of products presented and to the group’s pre-established design standards. The teams were involved from the preliminary concept to the site management.
The challenge of this project was to create different kitchen atmospheres within the same space, while taking into consideration customer traffic and their showroom experience. Each space had to have a distinct signature.
It was crucial to diversify the styles to appeal to a wider demographic while still keeping with the brand image of the products. In the end, there is a minimalist kitchen, a more contemporary one, a Scandinavian-inspired kitchen, a mid-century kitchen and finally, a more industrial kitchen.
The teams had fun with the classic kitchen components: quartz countertops, ceramic backsplashes, raw metals, solid wood butcher block style countertops, etc.
Although each kitchen space possesses its own atmosphere, the overall concept remains coherent thanks to a consistent ceiling treatment.
