Le Fou fou

The environmental branding comes alive through bespoke visual and signage interventions, carefully designed to define the character of this space.
In line with the interior design concept, the signage draws inspiration from French bistro culture and the early 20th-century European artistic aesthetic. The signs are the result of a stylistic exploration that borders on decorative art. Beyond directional signage that guides visitors to key amenities, the heart of the project focused on the creation of restaurant signs that dominate the space. The front-facing kiosk signage evokes classic theater marquees, displaying the name of each kiosk along with a glimpse of its offerings. Playfully referencing the Roaring Twenties and Parisian arcades, perpendicular retro-contemporary signs proudly showcase tenant logos, enhancing the venue’s expressive and immersive character.

Wild Things
Designed by LemayMichaud’s graphic design team, the mural encircling Le Fou Fou’s central elevator shaft transcends its architectural function to become an immersive, signature work of art. Drawing from a magical realism aesthetic, it transforms a simple structural element into a captivating visual experience, one that is unmistakably part of Le Fou Fou’s world and a powerful affirmation of the project’s identity. Its 360-degree composition was carefully planned to preserve visual integrity and engagement from every angle. Far from being a mere backdrop, the mural interacts seamlessly with the surrounding space, enriching the venue’s distinctive day and night design duality.
The project’s visual direction, titled Wild Things, served as the creative backbone for the mural. This identity embraces an immersive universe that is rich in detail, organic in form, and striking in contrast. Inspired by the jungle, surrealism, and the interplay of light and shadow, the mural incorporates bold graphic elements, lush botanical motifs, and layered textures. While not a literal reproduction of the brand, it embodies its visual language and firmly anchors Le Fou Fou’s identity within the physical space.

Its motifs blend surreal details with touches of jungle vegetation, integrated subtly so that they harmonize with the architecture while still catching the eye with their originality. Designed to reveal itself gradually, the mural offers new perspectives on each visit, acting as both a catalyst for imagination and a starting point for reflection.
The work plays a central role in transitioning between the space’s two distinct ambiences. The design is divided into two main sectors, each representing one of these zones. This duality is heightened by a meticulously curated color palette, ensuring a smooth visual flow between the two environments. The contrast between darker and lighter tones adds depth and richness, drawing the eye and inviting discovery.
At the intersection of art and function, this mural stands as one of Le Fou Fou’s most iconic features, commanding attention, sparking curiosity, and redefining how the space is experienced.

Modular system
The menus were designed to be fully modular and adaptable to each kiosk’s needs and preferences. Mounted on a modular framework, multiple panels are available, allowing each vendor to compose its own unique display.
Overlooking the mall’s main entrance, a monumental sign commands attention. Sculpted directly into the ceiling, the Le Fou Fou logo seems to emerge organically from the structure itself—a nod to the space’s bold character. Beneath it, bathed in light, visitors are invited to step into a sensory experience designed to delight, surprise, and challenge their expectations.
