Hotel Bonaventure

The revitalization of the Hotel Bonaventure's common areas, situated on the upper floors of a Brutalist building located in downtown Montreal, is based on an open, optimized design concept.

The opening of the spaces onto lush gardens creates an interesting duality between urbanity and nature that has been exploited to the fullest. The redesign of the space allowed for a new lobby that sits under an impressive skylight, and the reception area, resto-bar and glass walkway were all given a facelift.

The updated aesthetic is based on highlighting the building's architectural elements such as the fluted concrete surfaces and adding warmth and a touch of exoticism with the use of materials such as wood, reflective surfaces, and light colors.

The result of this approach creates a sophisticated atmosphere and a dynamic interplay of textures and light.
