Eleanor

Montreal
Residential
2023

The Eleanor project consisted in the development of a primarily residential building on the street that bears the same name, between William and Ottawa streets in the Griffintown district.

The building was designed to integrate on a site currently occupied by four buildings, two of which are listed as heritage. Both of these buildings, including the former St. Ann’s Day Nursery, will be restored to keep them in the new proposal, as well as to restore their former charm. Moreover, as a nod to the past, the complex will also include a daycare centre. Given the density of the surrounding built environment, it was important to preserve the pedestrian scale for this project, as well as preserve the sun exposure of the neighbouring buildings.
