2021 has already begun and LemayMichaud wishes you all the best for this new year.
We wanted to take a few minutes to send you our best wishes for 2021! We hope for a more peaceful year than 2020, filled with lots of happiness. Let’s face it, 2020 challenged all of us, in every possible way! It was a year where we mainly lived 6 feet apart from each other.
For its traditional greeting card, which is a project that holds a very special place in our LemayMichaud heart, our graphic designers were inspired by the words that entered our daily life this past year.
“Pandemic”, “social distancing”, “lockdown”, “6 ft apart’’… Words we never imagined becoming a part of our daily vocabulary yet use everyday. That’s why we wanted to make the card festive and fun.
“Our intention with the 2020 holiday card was to transpose this year’s reality into something playful and elegant. With the 6-feet ribbon, festive characters and comforting words, we wanted to remind everyone that what mattered for the holiday season was what actually brought us together rather that what separated us. We wanted to send a message of unity.” explains Maryne Bélanger, graphic designer.
This concept was also developed for a 360° communication campaign; short animations were created to highlight Christmas and New Year on our social platforms (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn).Here we find the little character from the card in scenes inspired by architecture and design, for instance measuring a building with the ribbon, or by the holiday season like decorating the Christmas tree.
In addition, this concept was also declined on a tote bag offered to employees that contained… Christmas gifts!
