A new retail wing is taking shape at Galeries de la Capitale

LemayMichaud is proud to continue its collaboration with Galeries de la Capitale on the redevelopment of the former La Baie d’Hudson space. This major project will completely transform the two-storey space to create a new retail wing at the heart of the shopping centre.

The project aims to revitalize this area of the Galeries and enhance the visitor experience with the arrival of new retailers and restaurants. A new exterior entrance and restrooms will also complement the planned interventions.

A collaboration that continues

This new project builds on a long-standing collaboration with Galeries de la Capitale. After designing the Méga Parc and the shopping centre’s food court, our team is once again contributing to the evolution of this iconic Quebec City destination.

The transformation of the former La Baie d’Hudson space will create a completely renewed retail environment, designed to welcome a new mix of retailers and destinations.

New destinations to discover

The first spaces will be delivered progressively starting in 2027 and will welcome a range of new retail and dining destinations.

Among the first confirmed tenants, Imaginaire will take over a 30,500-square-foot space, which will become the brand’s largest location in Québec. Restaurant-bar ZIBO! will occupy a space of nearly 5,500 square feet, adding a new destination to the Galeries’ dining offering.

Work is currently underway. Stay tuned to follow the project’s progress!
