LemayMichaud designed all interiors of the hotel and has worked closely with the architects of the building to develop the details of the entrance and awning. Inside the building, exposed concrete features prominently starting with the columns in the public areas through the polished concrete floor in the entrance hall to the exposed ceilings in the guest rooms. Though compact, the hotel lobby is very urban and tied to the corner of Peel and Wellington streets. The public areas are colourful, comfortable and special attention is paid to the acoustics.
The lobby is enlivened by an original work of art consisting of thousands of Instagram photos submitted by members of the ALT hotel online community and illustrating local themes of Montreal. In the guest rooms, the unique and entirely prefabricated bathroom module—a distinguishing feature of ALT hotels—allows the space to be divided astutely.
