Clinique dentaire Geneviève Lafrance

Brand Identity
As part of the redesign of its new spaces—also designed by LemayMichaud—the clinic sought to develop a visual identity that would reflect the quality of its services while creating a reassuring environment for its patients. The conceptual approach centers on a brand identity that evokes a caring space where every patient receives top-notch care.
The visual language revolves around three core values: professionalism, well-being, and attentiveness. The first is expressed through a rigorous graphic approach and clear typography, evoking the precision and reliability associated with the medical field. Well-being is conveyed through a palette of soft, mature, and harmonious colors, helping to create a soothing atmosphere. Attentiveness and empathy, meanwhile, are conveyed through the sensitivity of the graphic design, the shapes that compose it, and the downward curve of the logo—a symbolic nod designed to evoke a smile.

The logo’s design is based on the concept of a rebus, the creation of words by combining symbols. Combining the cross symbol—which evokes the clinic—with the tooth symbol allows to provide multiple versions of the logo, a modular approach that offers the possibility to understand the wordmark quicker.
The universal symbol of the tooth—a direct reference to the profession—is reinterpreted in a refined and contemporary manner. Its soft and balanced lines avoid the visual clichés traditionally associated with the dental field, instead offering a more welcoming and human-centered image. The entire visual system is deployed across various communication platforms, reinforcing the clinic’s coherence and distinctive personality.

Signage
The signage system was designed to integrate seamlessly with the clinic’s new interior design while enhancing the visibility of the new brand identity. The approach favors a discreet and elegant signage strategy, conceived as a natural extension of both the architecture and the visual identity.
Blade signs subtly highlight the upper portions of door frames, providing clear wayfinding cues from corridors while maintaining a light visual presence. Their placement ensures efficient readability of spaces and facilitates navigation for both patients and staff.
Glass partitions serve as a key graphic medium. A composition of large circles—evoking the shape of the mouth—unfolds across glazed surfaces as a dynamic geometry. These forms appear to open and close, creating a visual rhythm that animates the corridors and accompanies movement throughout the clinic. Additionally, the graphic treatment of the glazing filters certain views, introducing a degree of privacy while preserving natural light and spatial transparency.
Altogether, the system contributes to a cohesive spatial experience, where signage supports orientation while enriching the identity and character of the environment.
