Alt Hotel St-John's
Located in the city center and close to major tourist attractions, Alt St. John’s is built on the remains of the Marshall Building, located at the corner of Water and Prescott Streets. The building overlooks the harbour and offers breathtaking views of The Narrows Channel. The five-storey L-shaped building enabled the installation of a courtyard, and the outline of the cellar footprint has been incorporated into the exterior landscaping.
The 148-guestroom hotel offers all the usual services: a lounge, a Grab & Go (ALTcetera), a gym, five meeting rooms, a restaurant and a bar. Each room is equipped with a complete home automation system, enabling control of the room settings such as heating and lighting intensity and/or color. Several design elements have been devised to reflect the city’s specificity and highlight its charm and uniqueness. Per example, the installation of the interactive mural made of a multitude of photos of the city. Or through the space configuration designed to offer a view of the Narrows from all meeting rooms and common areas. The proximity of the sea is also emphasized through different iconographic elements present in the interior design and signage.
