The results of the 19th edition of the Grands Prix du Design have been announced, and LemayMichaud is proud to have received 5 Gold certifications, including one in the new Firm of the Year category.
Created to recognize excellence and innovation in design, architecture, and communications, the Grands Prix du Design have established themselves over the years as an important benchmark in the industry. Once again, this year’s edition highlights the diversity and quality of projects from around the world.
700 René-Lévesque O.
Located in the heart of downtown Montréal, 700 René-Lévesque O. transforms the existing spaces through a thoughtful approach that brings together materiality, light, and volume to create a cohesive and contemporary experience.
The project received three Gold certifications across two disciplines, highlighting the richness of its design and the multidisciplinary work behind its realization.
In Interior Design:
- Large Office (> 1,860 m² / > 20,000 sq. ft.) — Gold Certification
- Special Awards / Identity, Signage & Branding — Gold Certification
In Communication & Branding:
- Signage, Wayfinding & Murals — Gold Certification
Clinique Dentaire Geneviève Lafrance
The Clinique dentaire Geneviève Lafrance received a Gold Certification in the Health: Clinic & Professional Office category, within Interior Design.
The project reinterprets the codes of the medical environment through an atmosphere inspired by the world of spas. Light wood, enveloping materials, and warm tones create a calming environment, where every detail contributes to a more human and comfortable experience.
This recognition highlights the value of an approach where design directly contributes to the user experience.
Firm of the Year: Gold for LemayMichaud
For the first time, the Grands Prix du Design introduce the Firm of the Year category, recognizing the work and vision of a firm as a whole. We are pleased to receive a Gold Certification in this new category.
This distinction holds particular significance for us, as it recognizes not a single project, but our practice as a whole, as well as the strength of our team and multidisciplinary approach. It highlights the collective work of our teams and the complementary expertise that has shaped our practice for more than 45 years.
In the Running for the Grand Winners
Projects that receive a Gold Certification become eligible finalists for the title of Grand Winner in their respective categories. The results will be announced during the Grands Prix du Design gala evenings on October 8 and November 19. Stay tuned for the results on our Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram pages.
